FBPD warns residents to be wary of unlicensed solicitors

report-scams-orig

FBTX ~ The Farmers Branch Police Department is reminding residents that anyone selling any product or service door-to-door must have a permit issued by the Police Department.

Information has been received that residents in the area of Millwood Circle recently had a visit from a solicitor that did not have proper authorization.

Police Chief David Hale said residents should decline to contact any solicitor that cannot show a proper permit from the City. Additionally, never let a door-to-door solicitor inside your residence and call the Police Department if they act suspiciously or ask a lot of questions about neighbors.

For more information, contact the Farmers Branch Police Department at 972.484.3620.
