GOOD WITH NUMBERS: Sherrelle Evans-Jones brings wealth of experience to Finance Department

FARMERS BRANCH ~ With more than 12 years experience in public accounting, most recently as CFO for Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, Sherrelle Evans-Jones has been named as the new Director of Finance for the City of Farmers Branch by City Manager Charles Cox.

"I am excited about joining the team at Farmers Branch," she said. "I believe my background and skill set will help to build upon all the wonderful things already happening within the City."

A Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Evans-Jones is a graduate of Dillard University in New Orleans where she met, and ultimately married, fellow Accounting graduate, Brandon Jones.

She spent nine years with the firm of Ernst and Young where she served as an Audit Senior Manager of Fortune 500 real estate and financial services clients.

In addition to her work for Klyde Warren Park, Ms. Evans-Jones has also served as CFO for Feeding Texans, a statewide hunger relief organization.

Passionate about education causes, she has served as a member of the Board of Trustees for St. Philip's School and Community Center in south Dallas.

In addition to husband, Brandon, Ms. Evans-Jones' household includes two schnauzers, Baxter and Shelby.
