Gym renovation rendering

After several months of anticipation, the Parks and Recreation Department has announced the reopening of the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center's first floor on Monday, April 26 at 6 p.m.
There will be a ribbon-cutting, and the first 100 visitors will be entered into a drawing to receive a one-year free fitness membership to the Rec Center (participants must be new patrons to the Rec Center). Mayor Robert Dye will perform the first lift to inaugurate the new fitness area. Everyone is invited to attend, and there will be free giveaway items for all attendees.
The redesigned first floor includes a brighter and open lobby area, an expanded fitness floor, and a spacious and colorful child care area. For more information about the renovation or the Grand Reopening, please visit
