FBTX ~ Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation Director Mike Mashburn has recently announced three key promotions.
Maria Minter was elevated to Recreation and Culture Manager, Emanuel Pulido moves to a Recreation Supervisor role, and Urbano Olivas will now work as Park Maintenance Supervisor.
“Maria has expanded her job duties to include acting as the staff liaison to the newly formed Public Arts and Culture Committee, and will also help spearhead public art projects throughout Farmers Branch,” said Parks & Recreation Director Mike Mashburn. “Maria has assumed many tasks that reach beyond the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center, so she has been promoted to a role that more accurately reflects her current duties.”
Mr. Mashburn continued that Emanuel Pulido is a natural fit for his new role and has a bright future in this organization.
“Emanuel has been elevated to Recreation Supervisor and will take on a greater leadership role at the Recreation Center,” Mr. Mashburn explained. “Emanuel has constantly found ways to use data to make informed business decisions and has played an integral part in the Recreation Center merging the cost-recovery gap."
Finally, Urbano Olivas will replace longtime employee Pam Smith, who is retiring in November.
“Urbano is a 10 year veteran of the Parks & Recreation Department and brings enthusiasm and an appreciation for the established gardens," Mr. Mashburn said. "His attention to detail and commitment to daily excellence made him an easy choice to fill the shoes of Pam Smith. Urbano has mentored under Pam for years, so I anticipate the transition to this new role to be seamless.”
