FBTX ~ The Farmers Branch Historical Park is again preparing for an annual intimate celebration of the Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, on Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m.
Festivities will include Mariachi Los Reyes de Dallas, sponsored by Cuquita’s Restaurant, a stroll through the Historical Park grounds viewing the most prominent feature of the celebration, the altars honoring the deceased, and traditional Mexican tapas from local Farmers Branch restaurants, including Nuevo Leon Mex-Mex Restaurant, and El Refrán Mexican Buffet, as well as craft beer and fall sangrias from Cedar Creek Brewhouse & Eatery.
Featured altars include Frida Kahlo, Juan Gabriel, Jovita Idár, and Farmers Branch pioneer, Juan Hernandez, among others. Altars will be embellished with beautiful fall mums provided by Home Depot.
