FBTX ~ After a tour of duty with the City of Farmers Branch totaling 25 years, a local fixture of the City staff, Landscape Manager Pam Smith, will retire on November 2.

Pam made the announcement following her induction as an honorary member of Boy Scout Troop 713.

"These young men are the most recent of the 48 Eagle Scouts that I have been honored to work with during my tenure with the City," she said. "Rodger Cramer as been the advisor on many of those projects. Feeling very blessed."

Many of these Eagle service projects involved the creation of "Little Libraries" across Farmers Branch, along with numerous tree plantings, park enhancements and the bridge installation in the bird sanctuary.
