Ben Williamson promoted to Assistant City Manager

FBTX ~ Citing his experience running enterprise-level programs and projects, Farmers Branch City Manager Charles Cox has announced that Ben Williamson has been promoted to the position of Assistant City Manager.

   Ben will continue to run many familiar programs such as Farmers Branch Power Switch, Performance FBTX along with the employee survey and resident survey. However, in his new role, he will supervise the Manske Library and take on the Sustainability and Public Health Department.

   "I am excited to take my next step with the City of Farmers Branch," he said. "We are all part of an amazing team and we are creating something special."

   After earning his bachelors degree from the University of North Texas and Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, Ben gained experience as a Senior Emergency Management Specialist with the City of Garland and as Emergency Management Coordinator / Assistant to the Director at the City of Southlake.

During his career he has also earned a variety of certifications including Certified Government Finance Officer and Project Management Professional.
