Dress/Conduct Code

ATTIRE:



All persons present in the courtroom shall be clean, neat, and dressed in a manner that shows dignity and respect for the Court.

Prohibited Attire Includes:



  • Hats
  • Bags or Purses
  • Shorts; and no pants or shorts "sagging."  
  • Dresses and skirts must be no shorter than the length of a persons fingertips when standing upright.
  • Muscle shirts, tank tops or halter-tops
  • Clothing with offensive, vulgar, racist, sexist or obscene words/pictures
  • Clothing that is dirty, torn or ragged
  • Flip flops

CONDUCT:



PRO SE parties (non-attorneys representing themselves) should be prepared to present their cases in a proper manner.  It is not the Court's duty, nor the responsibility to represent you, nor instruct you on court procedure, evidence, rules, or how to present and prove your case.

Prohibited Conduct Includes:

  • Tardiness
  • Arguing with the Court or staff
  • Food and drink
  • Profane or offensive language
  • Cell phones that are not turned off or in silent mode
Attire and conduct will be enforced by the court bailiff under the authority of the presiding judge.  Parties not conforming to these standards will be removed from the courtroom and required to post a bond for a new court date.  The court reserves the right to change or modify these rules at any time.
