Welcome to our family-friendly event, Family Night in the Park! Join us as we transform our Historical Park into a family fun experience. Bring your family, friends, or fly solo and enjoy music, a movie, and take advantage of concessions from Nuevo Leon Mex Mex Restaurant and Tikiz Snow Cones. The first 50 kids to visit Tikiz Snow cones will receive a FREE small snowcone!

Our August event will feature a double-band performance by Cover Down and Le Freak that’s sure to get you dancing! The night will end relaxing in the meadow area of the Park with a showing of Trolls World Tour on our inflatable big screen. Remember to bring a blanket!

Event Schedule

  • 5 p.m.: Gates open
  • 5:15 - 6:30 p.m.: Cover Down performs - Live music!
  • 7:15 - 9 p.m..: Le Freak performs - Live music!
  • 9 p.m.: Trolls World Tour - Movie begins at sunset!

Location and Parking

The event location is Farmers Branch Historical Park, 2540 Farmers Branch Lane, 75234, Please park at Metro Square 12300 Ford Rd, 75234.

What to Expect

  • Lawn Seating in Social Circles 
  • Blankets & Lawn Chairs encouraged 
  • Expected Attendance: 500
  • No outside alcohol will be allowed at this event; Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
  • Pets will not be allowed at this event.

Social Distancing Safety Rules

  • "Social Circles" have been drawn out in the meadow for your safety and others. Please stay in your designated circle with your group or family. 
  • Attendance for the event is limited to 500 people
  • Temperature checks will be required at the entrance before access into the park is allowed
  • Masks will be required while attending the event for ages 10 and up and are to be worn at all times.
  • Masks will be provided at the entrance

Additional COVID-19 Information

We care deeply about the safety of our attendees, participants and staff members, therefore before and while attending this event please be mindful of the following:

  • Masks will be required while attending the event for ages 10 and up and are to be worn at all times.
  • Masks will be provided at the entrance
  • Be Symptom Aware - If you feel ill, have a fever or cough, please do not attend this event.
  • Maintain Distance - As you enjoy this event please maintain a distance of 6ft from others.
  • Practice Good Hygiene- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. 
  • When necessary, use the hand sanitizer stations that have been provided.

Here are steps we are taking to provide a safer environment:  

  • Portable restrooms will be placed 6ft apart
  • “Social circles” drawn out in the meadow to provide safe seating options
  • Special “clean team” disinfecting portable restrooms during the event   
  • Additional hand sanitizer units provided at the portable restroom locations  
  • Staff will be wearing masks and have their temperatures taken that day
  • In addition, our concessionaire has taken extra steps and measures with regards to employee training and PPE usage, proper food preparation and serving containers, safe booth operations and layout, employee health screening and encouraging contactless payment

The City of Farmers Branch has taken enhanced health and safety measures for Event attendees and the Event Staff.  While attending the Event you are expected to follow all posted instructions.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people gather. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and possibly death. According to the CDC, older adults (65 years of age and older) and persons with underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Cooler Policy

Coolers are welcome, but no outside alcohol is allowed onto the premise. Beer and wine are available for purchase.

Beach Umbrellas

Beach style umbrellas will be allowed. Please be courteous and take them down as the sun lowers.
