Make a pit stop at the Service Station to fuel up before you vote in the upcoming election.  Share a beautiful morning in the Park with our suffragettes and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment over a cup of joe or hot chocolate. Baked goods also available for purchase.


Vintage Base Ball Practice

Thursday, April 23 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Want to try your hand at Vintage Base Ball? Join our open practices and learn the rules of 1860s base ball. Practices are held outdoors in our meadow; please wear closed-toed tennis shoes. Participants must sign waiver to play.

Bird Walk

Bird Walk with Steve Romaine, bird enthusiast and Master Naturalist

Join the Farmers Branch Historical Park for an all-ages Bird Walk. The Bird Walk will be especially great for younger bird enthusiasts and kids of all ages. Guests are invited to bring binoculars, but are discouraged from bringing pets.

Stop by the Dodson House south lawn for a friendly game of washers, horse shoes and giant pick up sticks.  Bragging rights will be awarded.   Why not make an afternoon of it and pack a picnic too?


Stitching with Paloma

Ages 16+ | BYOB for 21 + with ID
Fee: $35 per person includes supplies; space is limited and pre-registraiton is required

Come explore and learn the basics of hand embroidery, and let's stitch a cow skull with a flower crown piece on an embroidery hoop.
