Runoff Election Day - June 10, 2017


Notice of Drawing for Place on Ballot

The City Council of Farmers Branch, Texas features a Mayor, elected at-large, and five Council positions, elected from five geographically-defined single member districts. The Mayor and members of the City Council are elected to three-year terms, staggered so that two positions are up for election each year. In 2017, the Council seats for District 2 and Mayor at Large will be on the ballot.

Farmers Branch voters must go to their county precinct polling location on Election Day. The City of Farmers Branch is located in Dallas County. Please click on the appropriate link to determine if you are registered to vote.

Early Voting by Personal Appearance (Early voting location - City Hall, 13000 William Dodson Parkway)
May 30, 2017 – June 2 (Tuesday – Friday)
June 3, 2017 (Saturday) – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
June 4, 2017 (Sunday) – 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
June 5 and June 6 (Monday – Tuesday) 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Runoff Election Day
Runoff Election Day is Saturday, June 10, 2017 with the polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. However; residents must vote at their designated precinct listed in their voter registration card or may visit Dallas County Voter Precinct Lookup for the information.

Unofficial Results from May 6, 2017
All results are unofficial until canvassed at the May 16, 2017 Farmers Branch City Council meeting. City Charter Section 7.08 requires a candidate must receive a majority of all votes cast for the office of City Council and Mayor. As the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes shall be placed on the ballot for a runoff election, Harold Froehlich and Robert Dye will be included in a Runoff Election on June 10, 2017 for the Office of the Mayor.
