FBTX ~ The Farmers Branch Sustainability Committee and Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful are teaming up for a tandem event called Trash & Treasures Day, combining a community garage sale with a textile recycling event, on Saturday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at Farmers Branch City Hall east parking lot.
The Garage Sale is open to Farmers Branch residents but with limited availability of 40 spaces. Applications of one space per household will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are open now and will close at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 20 or when all spaces are filled. Specific rules and regulations apply.
Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful will be operating a Textile Recycling Drop-Off event at the same time, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon, in the west parking lot at City Hall. Residents are encouraged to drop off textiles, including clothing of all types and sizes, shoes, backpacks and purses, linens and blankets.
