Texas Hockey Day in Farmers Branch will be a precursor to the NHL Draft

FBTX ~ Designed as a celebration of the sport, leading into the upcoming NHL Draft in Dallas, Texas Hockey Day in Farmers Branch will offer the opportunity to put the heat on the ice, June 21.

   Planned from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Farmers Branch, Texas Hockey Day will include free open skating and skate rental,summer hockey camps, a sled hockey game along with top level adult and youth hockey exhibition games.

   In addition, there will be an NHL Clinic that will include the top five NHL draft prospects on the ice, working with local kids. There will also be free popcorn and soft drinks all day and free tours of the new Stars Alumni locker room and Texas Hockey History Center. The Dallas Stars Street Team will be outside with inflatables, a slap shot cage, food trucks and draft merchandise.

   Finally, current and alumni members of the Dallas Stars will be making appearances, along with the Dallas Stars Ice Girls and Victor E. Green.
