Holiday Craze

Holiday Craze

Ages 6-12  |  7:30 am - 6 pm

Holiday Craze is a recreational day camp program operated by the Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation Department. Holiday Craze is open to children ages 6-12 years (as of October 9, 2017). The program meets from 7:30 am - 6 pm at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center, located at 14050 Heartside Place. A total of 100 children are accepted for each session. The program includes on-site activities, entertainment, field trips, and much more! Call 972.247.4607 for additional information. Dates are based on the C-FBISD school calendar and are subject to change if the school calendar changes.


When and Where Can I Register?

Registration, held at the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center, is broken down into three sessions; Fall, Winter, and Spring. Registration for all three sessions begins August 1, 2017 for Farmers Branch residents and begins September 1, 2017 for non-residents if space is available. Registration packets can be picked up during normal business hours. Registration must be completed in person.


What Documentation Should I Bring for Registration?

Families enrolled in Summer Funshine 2017 need only to submit a registration packet and payment. Proof of residency and/or financial aid documentation is not required for those enrolled in Summer Funshine 2017. Parents/guardians must provide a valid Texas driver’s license or Texas State issued photo ID. The License/ ID must have a Farmers Branch address for families seeking the resident or financial aid rate. A copy of the child’s birth certificate is required (for first-time participants). Farmers Branch families seeking the resident or financial aid rate must provide proof of residency which includes a valid Texas driver’s license (or Texas State issued photo ID) with a Farmers Branch address, and current utility bill (water, gas or electric).


How Much Does Holiday Craze Cost?

Fees include all program related expenses including field trip admissions, entertainment, snacks, and supplies. A daily “drop-in” fee is not offered. Financial aid is available on a limited basis to qualifying Farmers Branch families. Families with outstanding fees are required to reconcile account balances before registering for the program.

Note: Unused Bad Weathers Days (March 30 & May 25, 2018) are not included in fees listed above. An additional fee and registration will be required should Holiday Craze meet one or both days.
