CHARTER REVIEW: City Council seeks applicants for Charter review

FBTX~ The Mayor and City Council are seeking citizens from each voting precinct interested in serving on a committee to review the City Charter and recommend any changes to be put before the voters in 2018.
   Per the City Charter the City Council must review the Charter in years ending in 3 and 8. The last review was completed in May 2013, with the Committee presenting 19 propositions to City Council for placement on the ballot for voters consideration..
   The 2013 Charter Review Committee consisted of 23 Farmers Branch residents appointed by City Council and was charged with reviewing the City’s Charter and making recommendations to City Council for both substantive and non-substantive amendments.
