Residents will be invited to offer input on I-35E corridor vision

FBTX ~ Residents and businesspeople will play a key role as Farmers Branch City leaders undertake a visioning process in 2020 in order to gain a clearer picture of what the corridor on both sides of Interstate 35E through Farmers Branch will look like in the next 20 years.

To be developed through consultation with City leaders, landowners, tenants and residents, this Vision will help determine what uses will be present, such as industrial, office, commercial, and residential. Further, it will identify where in the corridor they may be located and what the public realm will look like.

There will be two primary public participation opportunities with an Open House in March and a Public Event this summer. The upcoming Open House will be designed to elicit public response and discussion. Participation in the process will ensure that various voices are heard and opinions are taken into consideration when the vision is crafted.

The study will carry though to the fall of 2020, when it will go forward to the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council for adoption. More information on public events will be coming this Spring.
