Employees volunteer to give back to the community

Parks volunteers at Metrocrest

FBTX ~ Members of the Parks and Recreation team spent part of their Tuesday afternoon volunteering at the Metrocrest Services Holiday Site, helping local families shop for Christmas presents. Three of them were shopping assistants who stayed with families as they shopped, helping them pick out items and assisting them with checkout. Two others were runners who restocked and moved children's bikes and other items from the store room to the shopping floor. Rec Center Manager Maria Minter said that the experience was a great off-site team building activity for them that also served families in the community.
