FBTX ~ Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful is joining forces with the Sustainability & Public Health Department to combine a Textile Recycling Dropoff with the document Shredding Event for residents, now set for Saturday, June 22, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at Farmers Branch City Hall.

Pat Link, of Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful, said the Textile Recycling component of the event gives residents the chance to clean out some closets. "Residents can clean out those closets and bring unwanted linens, blankets, towels, curtains and other products made of fabric to the Textile Recycling Dropoff," she said. "Clothes, shoes, belts, purses and backpacks will also be accepted."

Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful will be providing volunteers for the Shredding Event, as well, where residents will be able to drive up to City Hall to have household documents shredded on site by a professional document destruction firm. The event is designed for Farmers Branch residents only and not for businesses or business-related documents.
