FBTX ~ With increasing confidence in the National Weather Service forecast of severe storms with locally heavy rainfall, out of an abundance of caution for residents, City officials have canceled Saturday's scheduled edition of the Farmers Branch Market.

Earlier, the Sustainability & Public Health Department announced they were proactively postponing Saturday's scheduled Shredding Event to June 22 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. In conjunction with Keep Farmers Branch Beautiful, there will also be an opportunity for Textile Recycling on site.

In their 2 p.m. forecast, the National Weather Service in Fort Worth is calling for an 80 percent chance of severe thunderstorms Saturday with locally heavy rain along with a chance of hail and damaging winds.

Farmers Branch Market plans to resume its regular schedule of every Saturday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. next weekend. For updates and more information, visit farmersbranchmarket.com.
