FBTX ~ Everyone is encouraged to 'Bike to Work' on Friday, May 17 during the national observance of the occasion designed to promote green transportation and fitness. Whether heading to the office, an appointment or just running an errand, participating helps

   Riders should be sure to stop by the Energizer Station provided by DART between 7 and 9 a.m. at various Light Rail Stations, including Farmers Branch, for free bike safety checks, drinks, snacks and more.

   Mayor Robert Dye proclaimed May as National Bike Month at the City Council Meeting last night, so don't forget to celebrate by taking a spin on one of the Farmers Branch trails. The Farmers Branch Sustainability & Public Health and Parks & Recreation Departments also reminds residents that there are four bicycle fix-it-stations along routes throughout Farmers Branch where you can repair or adjust your bike.
