We at the City of Farmers Branch take the safety and well-being of the general public and our staff with great importance. To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus and in accordance with other Dallas County jurisdictions, we have temporarily closed many of our facilities. To maintain our commitment to preventing the spread of the virus, we will also be canceling tthis year's Fishin' Fun. Thanks for your understanding.

Gussie Field Watterworth Park (next to City Hall), 2610 Valley View Lane

Ages 16 & under

Grab the gang and come out to Rawhide Creek, next to City Hall, for a morning of fishing fun! 
The creek will be stocked full of catfish and blue gill, so bring your fishing pole or borrow one of ours to catch the big one!
Bait is available free of charge.

To participate, kids must be 16 years of age or younger and have their fish measured at one of our stations during the tournament. 
Stick around for the 10:30 am Awards Ceremony to find out who the top three winners are from each age category.
Trophies and prizes will be awarded. You can also win a special prize if you catch a brightly tagged fish, redeemable at the stage.

The Kids Zone will have plenty of fun activities for all ages and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Angler Educators will be on hand to teach basic fishing skills. 

Fishin’ Fun is free! Loaner fishing equipment and bait is available at no charge. 
No registration required.
